Shoe of the Month: Mizuno Wave Sayonara

Look what we have in store right now! It’s so exciting.

The Sayonara is a brand new shoe from Mizuno.

    Brand. Spanking. New.

    It’s a beautiful shoe, isn’t it?

However, it’s not all about good looks. There’s a great deal of science behind these beauties.

The Sayonara, of course, features Mizuno’s unique Wave technology, which provides progressive support through the shoe, working hard to disperse the impact forces of running away from the foot. This supportive cushioning keeps your foot centred in the shoe throughout the completion of your stride.

Your heel is closer to the ground in the Sayonara and the lower ramp height (19-9mm) encourages a mid-foot strike. The new mid-foot cushioning, called U4ic, is excellent and provides all the support you need.

In something new from Mizuno, the Sayonara features a wider toebox than the rest of its range, making it perfect for those with a wider foot.

At 230g for the men’s shoe and 190g for the women’s, it is a lightweight trainer and racer (or “tracer”, if you like) that will have you running further and faster in no time. The tough outsole will handle most terrain, but it performs best on the road and suburban footpaths.

But don’t just take our word for it, come on in, talk to our knowledgable staff and try a pair for yourself.

Best for: neutral runners and mild pronators.

    Men’s sizes: 7-13, 14

    Women’s sizes: 6-11

    RRP: $180
